12,030 posts · 7,619 accounts · 0% vs the day before

  • Reuters reported the Nasdaq’s one‑day percentage decline was the biggest since June 5, driven by fears over AI cost overruns, while US tech stocks fell sharply overall[46]
  • @asifpatel noted US tech stocks continuing to fall, with Intel shares sliding and the Nasdaq opening at its lowest in over two months[2]
  • DTCC’s Tokenization Service went live on Oct 28, issuing 1:1 tokens for 34 DTC‑held securities including Russell 1000 stocks and index ETFs for 24/7 trading[7]
  • Walmart, Microsoft and JPMorgan joined 35 other firms in blocking tokenized versions of their stock on the OKXICE venue, representing over half of the original listed companies[16]
  • Chainlink launched 24/7 on‑chain pricing for tokenized real‑world assets, enabling continuous price data for stocks and commodities, with Aave already adopting it for collateral[4]
  • The Fomopoly on‑chain game on Robinhood is issuing land plots that generate both $DEAL tokens and real‑stock rewards, tying virtual land ownership to active stock generation[1][8][34]

Happy Saturday, CT ☀️ Land economics can create urgency before a game proves its demand Fomopoly builds its on-chain game on Robinhood around tradable land plots, which @fomopoly_rh says generate both $DEAL and stocks. Land therefore connects the play loop to rewards. Its Rarelist campaign listing says plots start cheaper and grow more expensive as the game progresses, while selected users may receive free plots. That curve could make timing central, but it may reward early positioning before gameplay creates lasting demand. Public materials still leave stock mechanics and $DEAL emission rules unclear, and the launch date remains TBA. The real test is whether players value the game after the early entry advantage fades.

Chainlink just launched 24/7 pricing for tokenized real world assets. Stocks and commodities can now have continuous onchain price data, even when traditional markets are closed. Aave is already adopting it for collateral management. The more assets move onchain, the more important reliable weekend pricing becomes. Pretty big infrastructure upgrade.

🏦 Crypto update: Wall Street's settlement backbone now mints tokens. DTCC's Tokenization Service went live Oct 28: 1:1 tokens of 34 DTC-held securities (Russell 1000 stocks, index ETFs, Treasuries) that move 24/7 between DTC-registered wallets (DTCC).

Good morning CT Let’s look at another part of @fomopoly_rh , what your land plot does after you buy it. Plots generate stocks and $DEAL tokens while you hold them, so ownership is an active part of the game rather than just collecting land. You can choose to keep a plot and let it continue generating rewards, or consider selling it as prices change. Of course, the outcome depends on the game’s actual mechanics and market conditions, but the concept gives players more to consider than the initial purchase. I’m curious to see how people balance holding their plots with trading them.

🚨JUST IN: Walmart, Microsoft and JPMorgan are among 38 companies blocking tokenized versions of their stock on OKXICE, the venue owned by NYSE parent ICE and OKX. 1. That's 38 of the 62 companies on the venue's original list, MORE THAN HALF. Only one had objected in the first notice on Oct 4. 2. Alphabet, Goldman Sachs, Eli Lilly, Coca Cola, Intel and Oracle also opted out. 3. Under the SEC's innovation exemption, a company has 30 days to object to third party tokens of its shares. An objection only blocks that one venue. 4. JPMorgan said it's "encouraged by the potential of tokenization" but won't take part "at this stage". Why it matters: Wall Street's biggest issuers are pushing back on 24/7 onchain stock trading before it even starts. #Tokenization #Stocks #RWA #Fintech

not every opportunity is about getting in early. sometimes, it’s about knowing what to do once you’re in. that’s what makes @fomopoly_rh interesting to me. you’re not just collecting land for the sake of it. you can buy and sell plots while earning stocks and $DEAL tokens through the game. the real fun will be seeing how different players approach the same game with completely different strategies. would you rather focus on collecting more land or making smart trades?
