Grok Bot has no free tier, and its daily users still went from about 67K to about 600K in seven weeks. It’s SpaceXAI’s agent, in beta since August 11, and each agent gets its own cloud computer to work with, from the inbox to phone calls with businesses. The daily figures come from Similarweb (iPhone and Android, September 6 to October 26), so they’re an outside estimate. The company’s own number points the same way: 800K weekly paying users, more than double the month before. For anyone building agent products, that’s a strong case against defaulting to freemium. When an agent finishes the task end to end, people pay from day one, and the compute doesn’t go to people who are just looking around. Even Grok’s own story summary on X got so excited it credited Grok Bot with the limit doubling that OpenAI’s Tibo announced yesterday.
