$GRVT has completed its first buyback and burn. @grvt_io purchased 1.1M GRVT on the open market and permanently burned the tokens, removing nearly 1% of the circulating supply at the time. This is the first of five milestones on the road to Grvt 2.0. What I find important here is that the tokens were actually burned, not just moved into a treasury. The purchases, burn data and transaction hashes are also available on a public dashboard, so the process can be tracked onchain. More buybacks are planned monthly, although the timing and amount remain at the issuer's discretion. There’s also a lot coming on the product side. → Late October: Grvt Earn, with tokenized fixed-income strategies targeting yields of up to 11%, not guaranteed. → November: Stable Funding Perps covering stocks, FX, commodities and indices, with zero trading fees and once-daily funding. → November: Yield as Margin, allowing eligible Earn balances to keep generating yield while backing trading positions, subject to product terms and risk parameters. → Late November: The redesigned Grvt 2.0 app, bringing earning and trading together in one self-custodial balance. The team is targeting 1,000+ markets by the end of December 2026, with refreshed branding and the 2027 roadmap also planned. Personally, Yield as Margin is the feature I'll be watching most closely. Being able to earn yield on eligible assets while using them to back trades could make capital management a lot more practical for active traders. Now it'll be about seeing how these features work once they go live.
