I'm not sure who's pulling the marketing strings @X, but I can say for sure they are doing everything they can to drive away paying users. I'm not an influencer -- not in any revenue program. Just an average lurker with a blue check. However, in the past few months X has: 1) Enforced signatures on their Android API, which breaks 3rd party clients and any X app tinkering. 2) Pushed Grok account unification for all users. Ostensibly this is for convenience, but in reality this is so they can squeeze more token usage -- their ambiguous, undocumented currency for Grok interactions. Before, https://t.co/B2S1RcOB8U and https://t.co/LDvy3NJsJS were separate instances, with separate quotas. Now you're burning the same tank of gas when using either. 3) Decided that ads in your feed wasn't enough, but also wanted to shove @NFL vomit on everyone's feeds. 4) Doubled-down on this with @MLB bullshit now. When you start adding whole new follow tabs to my feed automatically, you lose my trust as a user. Yada, yada, not an airport... but I'm cancelling, blue check be damned.

Lane Johnson is a special player, but more importantly a special person! I love him like a brother! For the past decade, Lane has been the best Right tackle in the NFL. His athleticism, technique, strength, and size, combined to make him a player few could get around. His pass set and movements looked more like an art than someone who punched people for a living. It was a pure joy to watch him play for all these years, but even more so, it was a pure joy to be his friend. Lane could make me laugh, cry, and smile all in a matter of hours. In the meeting room cracking jokes, in his car listening to country music lyrics, at the cafeteria talking about life, I cherish the memories, they give me so much joy. Lane Johnson’s message on mental health is worth highlighting. He wanted to play one more season. Instead, after 14 years in the NFL, he recognized that his mental health and his family needed to come first. Professional athletes are often expected to push through everything, physically and mentally. There’s strength in recognizing when you can’t keep doing that and being willing to say it publicly. The NFL Referees Association believes the suspensions imposed by the NFL on two officials following incidents this past weekend were excessive and inconsistent with past precedent. Given these concerns, the NFLRA will challenge the severity of those suspensions and meet with the NFL Officiating Department to discuss the League's disciplinary standards. The association also plans to meet with NFL Players Association leadership to address on-field conduct and the growing levels of confrontation between players and officials. While that never excuses misconduct by an official, it shouldn't be dismissed as simply part of the game. The League expects the highest level of professionalism from its officials, and it should demand the same from everyone on the field. “We will defend the principle that discipline must be fair, consistent and proportionate. Holding officials accountable while ignoring or minimizing the conduct directed at them is neither fair nor an effective way to address this issue. We look forward to working with the League and NFLPA toward that shared goal.”
