David Zaslev only pushed for Skydance to take him over because Netflix was going to cancel his $550m payout. He’s made over a billion dollars while fucking up a turnkey property that was Warners. And people want to bitch about Sheridan?

60 second microdramas are now the fastest growing form of streaming worldwide. Bloomberg called it. The Times wrote it up today. Born in China around 2018. Their revenue already beats the film industry. America is on track for $1.5 billion this year. ReelShort, DramaBox, ShortMax. Under two minutes, cliffhanger every 40 seconds, shot for a phone held upright. Netflix spent the decade on prestige. The thing winning the phone is a secret billionaire and a mafia bride. The micros this timeline will actually sit with are not the soaps. World 1 is building Microsports. 30 seconds, title on the line. Fastest through a 10 yard chamber. Strongest on a combined bench and squat. Toughest is a takedown, no punches. Ten Olympians on the founding side. The highlight is the sport. Same collapse, different product. Attention did not shrink. The screen did.
