Apple cut costs on the iPad mini by installing a downgraded A20 Pro chip in the base models. The 128GB and 256GB models received a 5-core processor and a standard 16-core Neural Engine. The 512GB version is equipped with a 6-core processor and a dual 16-core Neural Engine, which provides significantly higher performance for AI tasks.
