Safari 27 blocks hidden trackers that turn your email address into a tracking ID 🔥 Here's how this kind of tracking works, in plain words. Some companies take your email address and turn it into an ID. That ID can then follow you across different websites. Apple's WebKit team says that in the iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and visionOS 27 releases, "Safari and WebKit block network access to identity resolution infrastructure to prevent cross-site tracking." In other words, Safari cuts off the behind-the-scenes networks that do this matching. Apple also says "the blocking is done on the domain level, meaning they can't just change the structure of the network request to work around the protection." So trackers can't easily sneak past it. It doesn't block every kind of tracking, but it's a real privacy upgrade for people who use Safari on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Vision Pro. Do you use Safari as your main browser? Source: WebKit (Apple)
