The interesting shift at @vangrid_io is not another way to collect spatial data. It’s who can buy it now. Vangrid’s bounty system lets an AI agent request a physical capture directly, fund it in USDC through x402, and have a human operator fulfill the task. No account or API key is needed for the agent. That creates a new demand loop: agent has a question → agent pays for an observation → human captures reality → Vangrid reconstructs it. The unusual part is that the buyer doesn’t need to be a company dashboard or a human researcher. The buyer can be software. That makes Vangrid less like a dataset marketplace and more like physical infrastructure that agents can procure on demand.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen. Happy Wednesday. The robots are here, but the world they have to navigate still isn’t fully mapped. That’s the gap @vangrid_io is tackling. With 1M+ captures anchored on Base, 423K+ active nodes, and 3,800+ Merkle trees attested through EAS, the network is turning everyday phones into a distributed source of real world spatial data. Tree #4056 was also recently attested with 267 captures and 504 leaves. Physical AI needs ground truth from the world outside the lab. And when it comes to privacy, I’m still keeping @BeldexCoin close. Building useful infrastructure is important, but protecting the people using it matters too.
